Designing a beautiful native garden can begin with a few plants or can be a significant transformation all at once.
Brooke enjoys partnering with clients throughout the process and creates a variety of options to allow garden design and installation to be more accessible to a wider range of people.
Brooke has been planting natives and creating garden spaces for friends for almost a decade. As a teacher by trade, it wasnât until recently that she began to consider sharing this passion professionally. In 2023, she founded Resilience Landscaping as a way to begin.

DIY Plant List
For the person who wants to plan and plant their own garden but needs a starting point
Plant list includes 25-30 native plants, tailored to your garden site and preferences, that provide blooms during spring, summer and fall.

For the person who wants to plant a native garden without having to do all the research
Includes an on site consultation, a plant list and detailed garden design âmapâ for DIYâer to follow on their own or with some specific help.

âBrooke did a fabulous job creating our native garden map. Not being a gardener myself I just didnât know where to start; she asked great questions which guided me to exactly what we were looking for. We are lazy gardeners who wanted to add some color, interest and replace our grass with something more sustainable. Brooke walked us through some options and even helped us procure some of the harder to find plants including our incredible serviceberry tree: the best thing I never knew I needed! She even suggested a little childrenâs garden with touchable, interesting plants: another thing I never would have thought of. She clearly truly loves Native plants and helping create sustainable spaces; all for a very fair price. I canât recommend her enough!â

"Brooke helped us change our entire backyard into a beautiful, lush, easily maintainable space that is a pleasure to be in. She has a practiced and creative eye for designing attractive spaces. She worked within my yardâs limitations (mostly shade, only a few areas of full sun) to bring life and attractiveness to every corner. I especially love the curves she introduced along garden edges. I appreciate that she incorporated many of the plants I already had growing, but rearranged them in interesting ways to work well with the new native plants. "As a small business owner, having help with the groundskeeping of our property is so helpful, and lets me focus on the other aspects of the job. Working with Brooke the last few years has been incredible - she's honest, hardworking, fair, and genuinely enjoys what she does. We have a commercial lot (an old gas station) and she is doing work around the perimeter with native perennials, as well as some fun annuals, to create pollinator habitat where there was just dirt and gravel before. Several neighbors have commented on how nice it looks, and folks recognize her hard work and commitment. After planting, she has been doing regular maintenance and watering, including weeding, storm clean up, and removing the many small 'volunteer' trees that pop up around the property. I recommend Brooke highly - 5/5 stars!"
